Els Wynen is an agricultural economist with a background in agricultural science. She has worked for over 20 years in organic agriculture, including such diverse areas as production economics, marketing, trade, research benefits and environment impacts (see www.elspl.com.au for a detailed listing). She has worked for different kinds of institutions including the United Nations, several national government and various non-government organisations. She was a founding member of NASAA in the mid-1980s. At present, she is a board member of the International Society of Organic Agriculture Research.
